  • 8th Street Tunnel, Garrett Corliss (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
Just for those to know, the entrance to the tunnel is directely behind the Folder Coffee company. You will see what looks like a railroad line running torward it, but that's the old street car tracks.
  • ASB Bridge, Todd (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
I'm a 48 year old resident of KCMO. I've lived here my entire life. I started driving in 1980 and I commuted from the Northland to 56th and Troost in 1983. I never drove across the top of the ASB bridge. The road deck was closed many years prior to me driving. There was another bridge near where the Heart of America Bridge is now located that carried Route 9 across the river. The deck atop the ASB bridge was closed to traffic well before 1987.

Thank you Unit # 19,[From Trapped],for the wonderful job you did today, for my Rescue, thank you for the more than kind treatment I received, and for the VERY QUICK time and Manner this was done in. First time I've had to call for Help, and will never forget this experience!! Will try to think before I do in the future, as not to cause you this burden!! God Bless all our Fire Fighters, and all involved, for wanting to risk their Lives for people they don't even know "Fire Fighters don't care who or what you are",They will still offer their Life (Lives) for you and or your Family (Pets). Seems like You More than deserve a "Lot" more than your getting!! You are always there and Ask for NOTHING!! How can I and hopefully the Goverment HELP You? How can we make people understand "We Need To Take Care of Those That Take Care of Us!!

That is not station 8, it is located in the building just to the north of the building highlighted in this map.
  • Terminal B (closed), jjaycox24 wrote 14 years ago:
I don't agree that the terminal design is problematic. Security wait times are significantly lower than in other airports. You can still get from your car to your gate in under ten minutes most of the time. The only people that really think the design is problematic are the people that want to turn the airport into a shopping mall.
